Dr Aditya Varma (MBBS, DNB, FRANZCR)
Dr Varma has graduated from the from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India in 2001 and completed his residency at the GB Pant Hospital in Delhi( which is a tertiary Gastro- Neuro – cardiac centre draining a large population of Northern India) in 2004.
Dr Varma undertook a fellowship training in Oncoradiology at the Singapore cancer centre and thereafter additional fellowship training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth in Breast imaging and Body Imaging/Oncologic Imaging including MRI. He has been employed as Radiologist as a Senior Medical Officer at The Prince Charles Hospital and consultant at the Wesley Breast clinic. Previously he has worked at Mater Hospital Brisbane, Ipswich hospital and at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Dr Varma’s subspecialty interests include all aspects of Oncologic Imaging Radiology, Abdominal, Prostate and Breast MRI, Neuro and Head and neck Imaging. He has keen interest in pain management interventions including performing radiofrequency ablations of facets.
Aditya is actively involved in teaching and involved in research with medical students and radiology registrars. He is part of the IMG committee at FRANZR. Previously served at the CPD committee and has been a research adjuvant research fellow at Queensland Brain Institute. He is a senior lecturer at university of Queensland School of medicine. He is committed to deliver high quality health care and maintains high standards of care with active communication with the referring physicians aiming to obtain the best outcomes for his patients.
